The Workforce Planning Institute’s Strategic Workforce Planning Industry Standard represents the beacon of ‘good practice’ in strategic workforce planning. The standard was developed in such a way to provide the rigor to audit strategic workforce plans against the Institute’s methodology yet maintain enough flexibility to acknowledge that there are numerous ways to conduct certain activities and, within a reasonable frame work, many of those ways are effective. The standard works in conjunction with the Workforce Planning Institute’s Strategic Workforce Planning Checklist to create industry ‘checks and balances’ for organisations and individuals.
